Mvua na upepo mkali vyashuhudiwa Florida Kimbunga Debby kikipiga
Watabiri wa hali ya hewa walitahadharisha Jumatatu kuhusu dhoruba ya kimbunga inayotishia maisha, yenye viwango vya juu vya mvua na mafuriko yenye maangamizi katika eneo la kusini mashariki mwa Marekani wakati Kimbunga Debby kikiathiri pwani ya Ghuba ya Florida.
Kituo cha Taifa cha Kimbunga Marekani¸ NHC, kilisema kimbunga hicho kina kasi endelevu ya upepo wa kiasi cha kilomita 130 kwa saa mapema Jumatatu wakati kimbunga hicho kilipopiga karibu na Steinhatchee, Florida.
Kimbunga hicho kinaweza kuleta ufukweni wimbi kubwa la maji la hadi mita tatu zaidi ya mawimbi ya kawaida katika baadhi ya maeneo. Mawimbi yenye nguvu ni sababu kuu ya vifo kutokana na vimbunga, kulingana na NHC.
Baada ya kuleta athari Florida, kimbunga hicho kinatarajiwa kubakia katika kanda hiyo, kikielekea pole pole upande wa kaskazini na kuleta mvua kubwa Florida, Georgia na South Carolina katika siku zijazo.
