There are fears that the world’s youngest nation, South Sudan, could return to full blown civil war. Government forces are trying to retake territory from those loyal to First Vice-President Riek Machar. Machar is in detention in Juba accused of plotting to overthrow President Salva Kiir, which he denies. The BBC’s Kalkidan Yibeltal and cameraman Calvin Jabedo had rare access to Jonglei state, the epicentre of the fighting and the humanitarian crisis that followed.
