A nakuru high court has declared that a kenya defence forces officer who is accused of murdering his wife on april 14th in nakuru, is unfit to stand trial.High court judge patricia gichohi made the ruling after considering a medical report presented in court which indicated that the accused is not in a position to plead.
Judge Gichohi deferred the plea and directed that the officer be taken to Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment, with the matter set for mention on June 4th to confirm his status.
The court further ordered that military property and personal items belonging to the accused person, including identification documents, bank cards, and certificates, be released from the family house by the investigating officer.
The accused was arrested two weeks ago for stabbing his wife in front of his 4-year-old at their home in St. Mary’s estate in Nakuru after an altercation
