Kenya recorded a staggering 90,841 TB cases, a significant increase from the 77,854 cases reported in 2021. Principal Secretary for Public Health Mary Muthoni says the figures represent only 68% of the estimated 133,000 TB cases that were likely to emerge that year, leaving 32% undiagnosed and untreated. As Sarafina Robi reports, a lot of the unscreened cases may be found in rural areas.
