Ufilipino yapata sampuli za viumbe vya baharini vilivyouwawa na China
Walinzi wa Pwani wa Ufilipino (PCG) wameazimia kuendeleza uwepo wao katika eneo lenye mzozo la bahari ya South China Sea kuhakikisha kuwa China haitekelezi harakati zake za kurejesha eneo la Sabina Shoal, msemaji wake alisema Jumatatu (Mei 13).
Walinzi hao wa pwani walisema Jumamosi (Mei 11) walikuwa wamepeleka meli katikati ya mwezi Aprili huko eneo la Sabina Shoal, ambako imeishutumu China kwa kujenga kisiwa bandia.
Kanda ya video iliyochukuliwa na walinzi hao wa pwani katikati ya mwezi Aprili na kutolewa Ijumaa (Mei 10) ilionyesha rundo la viumbe (matumbawe) vilivyokufa na kuharibiwa ambavyo vilitupwa katika eneo la mchanga wa pwani la Sabina Shoal, likibadilisha ukubwa wake na mwiinuko.
Liko katika eneo la Ufilipino lililotengwa kwa shughuli za kiuchumi, Shoal ni sehemu ya kukutana vyombo mbalimbali ambavyo kuongeza kupeleka mahitaji kwa majeshi ya Ufilipino yaliyopo katika meli iliyotelekezwa katika eneo la Second Thomas Shoal, ambapo Manila na China zimekuwa zikivutana mara kwa mara katika eneo hilo la bahari.
China imefanya uvamizi wa eneo kubwa la ardhi katika baadhi ya visiwa huko bahari ya South China Sea, wakijenga kituo cha ulinzi wa anga na ghala za kijeshi, ikisababisha wasiwasi kwa Washington na ukanda unaolizunguka eneo hilo.
