The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has ordered 107 facilities, including clubs, bars, lounges, and restaurants, to comply with noise pollution regulations following a surge in public complaints. In a notice dated September 22, 2025, the authority said most of the establishments had failed to provide required environmental compliance documents despite being served with Environmental Restoration Orders. The crackdown is anchored in the Environment Management and Coordination (Noise and Excessive Vibration Pollution) Regulations, 2009.
