Tonight, motorists speeding on major Kenyan roads will face heavy penalties after the national transport and safety authority rolled out the instant fine management system. The system uses cameras to capture vehicle details and sends offence notices to the car owner, who must pay within seven days. Those who defy the law may face fines of up to 10,000 shillings, jail time, or license suspension.
