Nyandarua County government has unveiled the County Nutrition Action Plan for the financial year 2023/2024-2027/2028) with the view of curbing malnutrition in the County and also co-ordinate implementation of preventive and curative nutrition interventions.The program which is spearheaded by the Nyandarua Governor Dr. Kiarie Badilisha in collaboration with two Non-Governmental Organizations of Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and CARE International. Malnutrition continues to be a major concern in Nyandarua County where according to the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey of 2022 stunted growth in children stands at 18%.
