The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has applied to withdraw corruption charges against former Migori Governor Okoth Obado, but the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has objected, saying it has not signed off on the proposed plea bargain. The case, involving the alleged embezzlement of 73 million shillings from the Migori County Government, was set for mention at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court today but has been pushed to Friday to allow time for further negotiations. Letuaa Debra has the details in the Scales of Justice Segment.
