Omollo warns Kenyans against aiding or attempting cybercrime

Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has cautioned Kenyans against engaging in or supporting cybercrime activities, stressing that even attempted or preparatory acts are punishable under the law. In a statement posted on his X account on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Omollo clarified that individuals who attempt to commit or prepare to commit cyber offences face severe penalties, including a fine of up to Ksh 7 million, imprisonment for up to four years, or both.
