Outrage over Othaya attack as religious leaders criticise police

Religious leaders have today criticised security agencies over what they term laxity in investigating an attack on a church service at Witima ACK Church in Nyeri last Sunday, by elements that incuded armed policemen. ACK Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit says the incident points to a worrying pattern of attacks targeting churches, even as he called for political tolerance. Meanwhile, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has warned that stern legal action will be taken against planners and perpetrators of violence at political gatherings.
