Over 1,000 hospitals closed for SHA fraud

The Ministry of Health has closed 1,118 healthcare facilities across the country that has defrauded public funds through the Social Health Authority (SHA) system. This is according to Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, who briefed Members of Parliament at the 2026 Legislative Retreat in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
