Over 100,000 affordable housing units are under construction in various parts of the country. Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome says the development will bridge the 2 million housing deficit, cater to the growing population in the urban areas, and stop the fragmentation of arable land. The CS who spoke during the launch of the ministry’s strategic plan for 2023-2027, added that the Housing levy bill, expected to be signed into law by the President on Tuesday will go a long way in funding the program.
