Nearly 300 nursing interns have been forced to put their careers on hold, after the Ministry of Health announced that this year’s budget can only cater for the posting of 2,000 medical interns. The stranded and frustrated students are accusing the Nursing Council of Kenya of serious irregularities in the posting process.
