The government will construct a digital hub in each of the 1450 wards across the country to enable the youth to access digital skills and access online job opportunities. Speaking at Gaichanjiru Boys High School, in Kandara constituency of Murang’a county during the school’s annual assembly and prize-giving day the Information, Communication and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo said the initiative will help reduce the unemployment levels in the country. Owalo also revealed that the government is in the process of availing cheap smart-enabled phones that will help the public access all government services available on E- Citizen platform.
