Pentecostal leaders bar politicians from churches, demand disaster reforms

Pentecostal church leaders under the Pentecostal Voice of Kenya say they will not allow political leaders to speak inside churches, saying recent political statements are fueling division instead of unity among Kenyans. They have also called on the government to scrap national and county disaster management units, accusing them of failing to prepare for floods despite early warnings and annual budgets. The leaders want Nairobi County to compensate owners of buildings set for demolition if the county approved construction on riparian land.
