A police officer has been arrested following the fatal shooting of Dalphine Mwangi, a Kitale National Polytechnic student, as investigations into the incident intensify. In a statement on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) confirmed the arrest of PC David Omondi, a police officer attached to Kitale Police Station, in connection with the shooting that occurred on October 21, 2025, in Trans Nzoia County.
