https://nation.africa/ A Saturday morning raid by police officers from Ngegu Police Station to arrest a robbery suspect in a village in Rangwe failed after members of the community repelled the officers while defending the suspect. Members of the community, who later stormed the police station, instead demanded that the officers arrest another group of people who they accused of being behind a series of robberies in their village. Earlier at 4am, a team of officers set off on a mission to Kamasawa village in Kanam, West Kochia Location, to arrest a man who is reported to have been behind a robbery incident. After arriving at the village, they went to the suspect’s home to arrest him. According to a police report, the officers fired blank bullets at the home. It was this loud sound that alerted residents who were asleep. They turned wild, ganged up against the officers and flushed them out of the village.
