Police seize 1,500 litres of ethanol in Malaba raid

Police in Busia County have intercepted a major consignment of ethanol believed to be used in brewing chang’aa, arresting two suspects in Malaba. According to Rift Valley Police Commander Issa Muhammud, the suspects attempted to evade a police roadblock along Malaba Road before their vehicle lost control and rolled into a ditch. Officers recovered 50 jerrycans, each containing 30 litres of ethanol, amounting to 1,500 litres.
