Pope to bring message of unity and peace on African tour - BBC Africa

Pope Leo XIV is set to visit four African countries on a ten-day tour starting on Monday. He’ll be visiting Algeria, Angola, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea with a mission “to help turn the world’s attention to Africa”, according to the Vatican. The Pontiff will be the first to travel to Algeria, a Muslim majority country, where he is expected to encourage inter-faith dialogue and visit the Great Mosque of Algiers.
