    Female teachers are being urged to prioritize their health and wellbeing, with renewed calls for better support systems and safer working environments in schools and learning institutions. Speaking during the 6th anniversary of the Kenya Women Teachers Association , KEWOTA, the Principal Secretary in charge of Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, called for institutions to establish lactation rooms for female employees, emphasizing that it is a right protected by law. She warned that the Ministries of Health and Education will soon launch a crackdown on institutions that fail to comply.Muthoni also asked teachers to support one another in addressing gender-based violence, and to avoid predatory lenders by engaging regulated financial providers.
