A section of locals in Nakuru county are calling for a truce between the President and his former Deputy Rigathi Gachagua to cool down the rising political temperatures in the Mt. Kenya region. The group led by Pastor Harrison Kariuki condemned the latest public verbal exchanges between the associates of the 2 leaders, which they say threatens to erode the region’s unity. Speaking in Nakuru, the residents at the same time emphasized the importance of national unity, calling on political leaders from both factions to engage in meaningful discussions, aimed at unlocking the social and economic potential of the country
