Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned that the gains made under his administration are at risk of being reversed by the Kenya Kwanza government. In a veiled reference to public concerns over the effectiveness of the Social Health Authority, Kenyatta cautioned against experimenting with government programmes at the expense of public welfare. He was speaking at the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference, which resolved to amend its constitution, a move widely interpreted as paving the way for former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to succeed Kenyatta as party leader.
