The wrath of mother nature has struck in Baringo County once again, with several households, schools, farms and hotels around Lake Baringo being submerged as a result of the rising water levels of the lake. This follows recent heavy downpour that saw Lake Baringo burst its banks, submerging vast areas of the land including infrastructure around the lake’s basin. The situation has exposed residents to attacks by animals such as crocodiles and hippos that have now moved closer to residential homes.
