Ruto allies rally Rift Valley support, dismiss tribal politics

President William Ruto’s allies have intensified efforts to consolidate support in the Rift Valley while cautioning against tribal divisions in the country’s politics. Led by the President’s aide Farouk Kibet, the leaders took a swipe at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of attempting to fuel ethnic-based politics that risk disunity among Kenyans.
