Ruto: Kenya to send 2,500 police officers to Haiti by January 2025

President William Ruto has today challenged the international community to give priority to emerging conflicts around the globe, initiate debt relief plans for developing countries and urgently move to address climate change. In his second speech at the United National General Assembly in New York, the head of state says conflicts and wars have doubled in the last year around the world, dealing a blow to the United Nations’ development agenda. In his speech, Ruto further highlighted Kenya's commitment in pacifying the world while making reference to the deployment of Kenyan police in Haiti through a multi-national security mission.
