President William Ruto has, for the first time, appeared in a Kenya Army jungle combat uniform, marking a historic moment since he assumed office in 2022. Photos released by State House on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, showed Ruto walking from his office in full Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) attire, complete with a badge bearing his initials as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces. In his hand, he carried a gold-tipped military cane, symbolising his authority as Head of State and the Armed Forces.
