Ruto orders immediate arms amnesty in volatile Trans Mara

President William Ruto has announced an immediate amnesty for the surrender of firearms in illegal possession by residents living in the volatile Trans Mara region. Speaking in Baringo the president warned that failure to do so, the full force of the law will be applied on culprits to restore peace in the region. And as Abdiaziz Hashim reports, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat affirmed that the dusk-to-dawn curfew will remain in effect until absolute normalcy is ascertained.
