Put your money where your mouth is….This was the message President William Ruto delivered during the session of the pact for prosperity, people and planet 4P at the Fourth Financing for Development Summit. Speaking in Seville, Spain, the head of state emphasized the need for fostering the political good will to achieve the milestones set out in the agreements. President Ruto lamented the ever present need for talking about change without actually implementing it. He also acknowledged the voice of frustrated young people and disenfranchised voter groups who are urging the government to act faster and more decisively. Kenya, is a founding member of the 4P, which was launched at the Paris Summit to push for a New Global Financing Pact. The President also called on member Countries to focus on innovative financing and reallocation of own source revenue to social services within their country to improve the lives of their citizens.
