Nominated Senator in Murang'a Veronica Maina affirmed that the Kenya Kwanza government working to ensure it fulfills it's pledge on the provision of free sanitary pads to school-going girls.
She said that girls and women living in poverty usually end up trading sex for sanitary pads because they cannot afford them making them susceptible to the triple threat of HIV/AIDS contraction, unplanned pregnancies and gender-based violence.
