Sauti Sacco has launched a major restructuring and recruitment drive at its Nairobi headquarters as it seeks to align with evolving digital technology and modern customer demands. Speaking during the Nairobi branch education day at Cardinal Otunga Plaza, Chairman Eddy Ndwiga said the Sacco plans to introduce Front Office Services Activities (FOSA) and roll out an aggressive marketing campaign targeting young savers to offset the gap left by retiring members. Ndwiga, however, raised concern over delays by some public institutions in remitting members’ deductions, saying the issue has accumulated to over Sh46 million and continues to affect access to savings. He urged the Commissioner of Cooperatives to intervene, citing cases such as that of retired member Sammy Kiluva, who has waited years to access his funds due to non-remittance by his former employer, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation. Kiluva lamented that despite decades of contributions, he remains unable to benefit from his savings, highlighting the growing frustration among Sacco members.
