    A section of farmers in Kwale County have started embracing forest cover restoration with eyes on carbon credit funds from Restore Africa program targeting 70, 000 acres of land in five years. Speaking in Kwale County, the Restore Africa Manager Dismus Nyaga, said that their partnership with kwale county government and world vision are encouraging more small scale farmers to take advantage of the ongoing rains to plant trees with a focus on restoring the past glories of a green village. UPS;;;; The Restore Africa initiative, operates in Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi. World Vision leads a consortium of partners focusing on tree growing to restore degraded land and support climate-smart agriculture. More than 20,000 families have already been enjoined with the target being 50,000 families.
