The County government of Murang’a has been put on the spot over audit queries in water supplying companies in the county and subsequent loss off public funds amounting to millions of shillings used to fund their operations. Senators questioned why the county ha continued to fund the operations of the loss making entities. Murang’a governor Irungu Kang’ata however defended their continued existence attributing it to the need commercialize the scarce resource.
