Deaf blindness a rare condition affecting both hearing and sight, continues to challenge thousands of affected Kenyans in accessing information and essential support.
A major step has been taken to address this gap. Sense International has launched a Global Deafblindness Resource Hub here in Nairobi, offering digital tools and resources to persons with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and professionals. The launch as the country marks Deaf Awareness Week in Kenya, with stakeholders calling for greater inclusivity, innovation, and access to information for persons living with deaf blindness.
