The government has formally phased out one-time passwords (OTPs) for social health authority verification, replacing them with a compulsory biometric identification system in all level 4, 5, and 6 health facilities. Launching the biometric health ID at the Kenyatta University teaching, referral, and research hospital, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale announced that all SHA approvals will now be processed via fingerprint scans or the newly introduced practice360 app.
