A court in Siaya has ordered that Mark Owino, a police officer, allegedly captured on cctv footage alongside others during a violent robbery incident last week, will be detained for a further seven days to allow completion of investigations. This comes even as the high court in Nairobi once again declined to release on bail Klinzy Baraza, a police officer accused of fatally shooting a mask vendor during the recent Gen Z protests in the city.
