Skyward Express has introduced daily passenger plane services between Wilson Airport and Kakamega Airstrip in a move that will boost the transport industry in the County. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who flagged off Skyward Express Flight OW386 from Nairobi's Wilson Airport to Kakamega, said that the government is working to renovate airstrips around the country to boost air transport. Skyward has scheduled daily flights to Kakamega with plans to increase the frequency to twice a day. A one-way ticket to Kakamega is set at Ksh 6000.
