With the registration of citizens in the Social Health Insurance Fund expected to begin mid next month, stakeholders in the health sector held a meeting to analyze the preparation as well as make recommendations on how to educate citizens about the fund. Among the things discussed is the partnership between the public health and private sector. While the National Health Insurance Fund has been applauded for its aim in reducing the burden of medical expenses, a concern over the 29 billion shillings debt owed to the private health facilities is a point of concern.
