Starlets fall short in CECAFA

Hosts Tanzania stunned Kenya’s harambee starlets 1-0 to bag the 2025 CECAFA women's championship title. In the match staged at the Chamazi Complex in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, both sides were tight in their play but it was an Enez Mango own goal that handed the hosts the title at the expense of the Kenyans who had been impressive throughout the tourney. Tanzania finished top with 12 points from 4 matches as Kenya came second with 9 points after winning three matches and losing one.
