The Ministry of Education has constructed 125 Junior Secondary School classrooms in Malindi Sub County to the tune of Sh125 million over the past year, officials said Wednesday. Malindi Sub County Director of Education Rashid Roba Adan said the classrooms were constructed through the World Bank-funded Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning (KPEEL) programme, a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing learning disparities in Kenya’s education system. He said 85 of the new classrooms were constructed within Malindi Constituency. In contrast, the others were built in parts of Magarini Constituency that lie within Malindi Sub County, Chakama location, and Sabaki sub location.
