The Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) has condemned political activities and violence being witnessed in the country, warning politicians against dividing Kenyans. Led by National Chairman Al-Hajj Hassan Ole Naado, the council has backed President William Ruto’s Beyond Vision 2030, urging politicians to refrain from politicising the process. SUPKEM says it will participate in all levels of consultations and public participation to ensure the rights and aspirations of the Muslim community are captured in the vision. The council spoke during a media briefing in Mombasa.
