As more Kenyans seek financial inclusion to support businesses, especially in the informal sector, table banking is emerging as a reliable and empowering model. In Kakamega County, a group of women has managed to raise up to KSh 500,000 over the past two years, providing financial support to families while boosting small businesses in rural areas. Through informal trainings that include bookkeeping and basic financial management, the 12-member group has successfully set up fish ponds and is now planning to diversify their business ventures to increase income and create more opportunities in the years ahead.
