TAXPAYERS TO BEAR HAITI MISSION COST DESPITE GOVERNMENT ASSURANCES

Kenyans will shoulder billions in the 2025/2026 budget for the Haiti peacekeeping mission, despite earlier government claims that taxpayers wouldn’t foot the bill. This comes amid public outrage over State House renovations, which cost KSh160 million last year. The Executive has now been allocated KSh894 million for ongoing works at three State Houses and six State Lodges.
