    Tonight, teachers across the country are up in arms over what they describe as a skewed and disappointing salary increment, with many receiving as little as 500 shillings more in their July payslips. The pay rise stems from the 2021 2025 collective bargaining agreement worth 33.8 billion shillings, signed between the Teachers Service Commission and unions Knut, KUPPET, and KUSNET. But teachers now say the deal is a betrayal, falling far below their expectations and failing to match the rising cost of living.
