Tension is building up in Keringet, West Pokot County, as the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) intensifies its efforts to combat livestock theft through a security operation.
The operation has, however, left a trail of unrest, with locals reporting violent attacks, beatings, harassment and the confiscation of essential items, including mobile phones and money.
