Zambia’s main opposition candidate in Thursday's election, Brian Mundubile has dismissed government’s claims that he was found at the scene of an alleged militia operation where high-grade weapons were seized.
Mundubile told the BBC's Dingindaba Jonah Buyoya that security forces had staged an assassination attempt during a raid on his home, firing shots towards him and wounding a former minister. The government maintains 11 people have been arrested and investigations are continuing, linking him to the scene.
