Over 68,000 early childhood learners in Kisii County are set to benefit from a county-led school milk feeding program rolled out to boost enrolment, retention and nutrition in ECDE centres.
The program which targets 697 schools across all 45 wards, with the county government saying the initiative will strengthen foundational learning and improve school attendance among young learners.
Speaking at Kisii Agricultural Training Centre on Friday surong the rollout, Kisii Governor Simba Arati said the project is a key pillar of his manifesto and a practical implementation of national education and nutrition policies.
