Tiriki elders urge Govt to protect cultural shrines

Tiriki elders are now asking the county and national government to fast-track the process of securing cultural shrines for the preservation of their circumcision culture. Speaking during the close of the August circumcision period, the elders say the shrines inside sacred forests are the key to the community’s continuity and preservation of culture and identity.
