TRUCKERS DEMAND TAX HARMONISATION AND REPRESENTATION IN STATE BOARDS

Truckers Association of Kenya is urging the government to harmonise county levies and include truckers in key state agency boards to address what it describes as double taxation and rising operational costs. Speaking during the association’s Annual General Meeting in Mombasa, chairman Raphael Lamuya said inconsistent charges across counties are increasing business costs and complicating transport operations.
