Two former police officers, Godwine Wekesa and Emmanuel Wafula, have been sentenced to 35 years each by the High Court in Eldoret for the murder of 31-year-old Dennis Lusava while in custody at Mbururu Police Post in Kakamega County. Lusava's body was later found dumped in a river. His family welcomed the ruling after a four-year court battle for justice.
